I've just been going through the motions for the last couple of months. Sure I have had some great moments & I still get annoyed by things at work. But I can feel something missing. I'm affraid that if I feel something, really feel it, I will open the flood gates to everything. I cant handle everything right now. But is the trade off of not feeling anything bad worth not feeling anything at all? Without pain you cant feel joy. It really sucks that that statement is true!

sorry so much going in right now. be very careful about not feeling emotions. we need to feel what is going on. feeling it is part of the steps of processing it and moving through it. love you. hope life has sunshine hiding under a rock somewhere and you'll see it soon.
ReplyDeleteHuge hug for you right now. We do want to feel the joy, even if it means feeling the ouchies at the same time:) Just let Him carry you through it. Don't go an hour, a few minutes, without saying a prayer in your heart. Love you so much!
ReplyDeleteWhen Kristen went in for lung surgery at 3 or 4, I was on survival mode. You really don't feel anything, you just make the motions. This went on for a couple weeks as we got through the surgery and recovery. But this was really just a short period of time. When it is life in general that is too overwhelming, remember this:
ReplyDelete“The Father’s plan of salvation and happiness . . . will help you overcome every challenge in life.” —Elder Richard G. Scott
I know this is true. Keep praying, reading scriptures - especially when you don't want to. Pick up your Ensign and see if there isn't something that hits you. God loves you and is reaching out to you. Find him and let yourself feel his love. You are loved Annie. You are wonderful. "This too shall pass!"
